“I was tired of seeing Swiss restaurant owners end up with a premium revenue management tool when all they want is a simple booking system for their bistro. I have been working on Couverty full time since December 2025: a simple tool, with no commission on your covers, designed for French-speaking Switzerland.”

aleno targets high-end fine dining, groups and hotels: its model is based on tailored quotations. Couverty publishes everything because we target bistros and independent restaurants.aleno mainly targets high-end fine dining, groups and the hotel trade. Its pricing page explicitly says “no packages, no flat rates”. Its sales model is based on tailored quotations after a sales demo. That is consistent with its target market. Couverty makes the opposite choice: public prices, pay as you go from CHF 2.00 per booking, self-service setup. An independent restaurant owner wants to compare prices before investing 30 minutes in a demo.

We have no hotel PMS integration. If you run a hotel restaurant and need to sync guests between the hotel and the restaurant, aleno remains the better fit (Opera, Mews and Apaleo integrations). If you run a bistro or a traditional independent restaurant, Couverty is better designed for your needs.
