A WordPress plugin that adds bookings and your menu in a few clicks.

Bookings, menu and daily menu as native WordPress blocks, synced automatically.

4 blocks + 4 shortcodesWordPress 6.0+ · PHP 7.4+Automatic updates

Why use it

Native blocks, not a pasted-in iframe

Four blocks in the editor's "Couverty" category. The menu, drinks and daily menu blocks show a real preview in the editor via ServerSideRender: what the integrator sees is what the visitor will see.

Works with page builders

The plugin creates genuine WordPress Custom Post Types (couverty_plat, couverty_boisson, couverty_menu_jour) with their taxonomies. Elementor, Divi, Bricks or a custom theme use them like any other WordPress content. No specific integration to write.

A widget that does not break your layout

The booking iframe resizes itself via postMessage, and only accepts messages from the Couverty origin and from the window that is actually embedded. Four appearances (card, glass, minimal, dark) and four corner radii to match the site's branding.

No more manual updates

The restaurant changes its menu in Couverty, and the WordPress site follows. The plugin updates itself from GitHub releases: you do not have to go back over every client's site with each version.

How to integrate it

1

Install the plugin and connect the account

Upload the plugin from Plugins › Add New, activate it, then paste the restaurant's API key into Settings › Couverty. A "Tester la connexion" (test connection) button confirms the link is working before you go any further.

2

Add the booking widget

Add the "Réservation" (booking) block in the editor, or paste the shortcode if the theme does not use Gutenberg. Height, appearance and corner radius are set as attributes. No CSS to write.

shortcode
[couverty_reservation height="700" appearance="dark" radius="md"]

[couverty_menu layout="grid" show_allergens="false"]
[couverty_boissons layout="list" show_details="true"]
[couverty_menu_du_jour show_price="true"]

Let the sync do the work

The plugin imports dishes, drinks and the daily menu into the Custom Post Types and keeps them up to date. Ready-made pages are created as drafts, never published automatically: you stay in control of what goes live.

An agency that delivers a restaurant website in an afternoon

The theme is in place; bookings and the menu are all that is left. Usually that is the part that drags on, between a form to wire up and a hard-coded menu that will be out of date in three weeks. Here: plugin installed, API key pasted, Booking block on the contact page, Menu block on the menu page. The restaurant owner updates the menu in Couverty from their phone, and the site follows on its own. The agency no longer gets the "can you change the price of today's special?" email.
