Add bookings to your website, and Couverty to your tools.
Five ways to add bookings to your website, plus connections to Google, 3CX, Stripe and your screens.Five ways to add bookings to an existing website without rebuilding it: link, iframe, floating button, WordPress plugin or REST API. And ready-made connections to what you already use: Google Calendar, your Google Business Profile, 3CX phone systems, Stripe payments and your dining room screens.
Which integration method should you choose?
If the website runs on WordPress, use the plugin. If the platform accepts custom HTML (Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Framer, Shopify), use the iframe widget. If it accepts nothing at all, share the hosted page. The API only makes sense on a custom website whose code you control. All five methods feed the same calendar: you can combine several without duplicating anything.
| Method | Best for | Technical level | Limitations |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hosted page | Any website, social media, Google Business Profile, QR code | None: a link to share | The visitor leaves the restaurant's website |
| iframe widget | Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Framer, Shopify, custom theme | Copy and paste into an HTML block | Requires a plan that allows custom code |
| Floating button | Websites where booking must be within reach on every page | One line of script | Takes up a corner of the screen on every page |
| WordPress plugin | WordPress websites, with or without a page builder | Installed from the WordPress admin | WordPress 6.0+ and PHP 7.4+ |
| REST API | Custom websites, apps, in-house tools | Developer | You build the booking interface yourself |
The integrations, one by one
The WordPress plugin and the API extend the website. Google, 3CX phone systems, Stripe and the screens connect Couverty to the rest of your operations. Each card shows the plan required.
What syncs, and what does not
A useful integration is one whose limits you know. Here is what flows, in which direction, and what stays manual.
What goes out from Couverty
- Every confirmed booking becomes a Google Calendar event. A change updates the event, a cancellation deletes it.
- Your menu (dishes and drinks, with prices), your opening hours, your exceptional closures and the Menu and Website links go to your Google Business Profile.
- The "Book" button on your Google Business Profile points to your Couverty booking page.
- The menu, drinks and daily menu feed the website, the QR code, the dining room screens and the WordPress plugin all at once. You enter it only once.
What comes into Couverty
- Google reviews appear in the dashboard; you reply there without switching tools.
- An incoming call identified by 3CX shows the guest's record in the softphone and creates a Couverty notification.
- Stripe payments (card guarantee or deposit) are linked to the booking they belong to.
What stays manual
- Google Calendar sync goes from Couverty to Google, not the other way round: an event created by hand in Google does not take up a table in Couverty. To block a time slot, use closures.
- Bookings taken on a third-party platform do not come into Couverty: you have to enter them, or make Couverty your single point of entry.
- The Google, 3CX, Stripe and API integrations require the Épicurien plan; the WordPress plugin and the screens require the Gourmet plan.
FAQFrequently asked questions about integrations
What webmasters, agencies and restaurant owners ask before connecting Couverty.
No. None of the five methods requires touching the structure of the website.No. The hosted page is simply a link to share, the booking widget is pasted into an existing HTML block, the floating button takes one line of script, and the WordPress plugin installs from the admin. None of these methods requires a redesign, a theme change or a migration: you add bookings to the website as it is.
Yes. They all feed the same calendar, with no duplicates.Yes, and it is actually the most common setup: the booking widget on the "Book" page, the floating button on the rest of the website, the hosted page link on Instagram and on the Google Business Profile. Whatever the way in, the booking arrives in the same calendar, subject to the same availability and the same capacity rules.
No: it lives in an isolated iframe, and its code never runs in your page.No. The booking widget is loaded in an iframe: its CSS and JavaScript never run in the context of your page, so they can neither override your styles nor clash with your scripts. The only thing passed between the two is a resize message, which adjusts the iframe's height to the content of the form.
The iframe widget, pasted into a custom code block. On these platforms, the right method is the iframe widget, pasted into a "custom code" or "embed" block. The only constraint: most of these builders reserve custom HTML for their paid plans. If the website's plan does not allow it, the hosted page is always an option: it is simply a link.
No. Sync goes from Couverty to Google only. No, the sync is one-way. Couverty bookings create, update and delete events in Google Calendar, but an event added by hand in Google is not read by Couverty and therefore does not block any table. To make a time slot unavailable, use closures in Couverty: they are what actually drive the booking widget's availability.
A 3CX Standard licence or higher, admin access to the console, and a Couverty API key.You need a 3CX Standard licence or higher, administrator access to the 3CX console, and the Épicurien plan on the Couverty side to generate an API key. Setting it up means downloading the CRM template provided, importing it into 3CX (Integrations → CRM), then entering the API URL and your key. Allow about ten minutes, with no developer.
No. The booking widget is in every plan; WordPress and the screens from the Gourmet plan; Google, 3CX, Stripe and the API with the Épicurien plan. The hosted page, the iframe widget and the floating button are available with every plan, including the Gourmand plan (pay as you go). The WordPress plugin and dining room screens require the Gourmet plan. The Google Calendar and Google Business integrations, the 3CX phone system, Stripe payments and REST API access are reserved for the Épicurien plan.
Yes, and the partner programme pays you for the venues you bring in.Yes. Agencies and webmasters integrate Couverty for their clients with no particular restrictions: the technical documentation is public, the WordPress plugin can be downloaded, and the API is documented. The partner programme adds a commission on the venues you bring in, as well as direct contact with the team that builds the platform.
